Fire Update

Healthcare Company is not under evacuation, and Incident Command remains in contact with Unified Command for the California Fire.

The California Fire continues to be top priority for Fire Agency; they remain prepared to address any fire growth moving in our direction, though there is no immediate threat to the Lake Basin. There are no new evacuation orders.

Weather conditions affecting the California Fire are expected to remain the same over the next three days, with moderate winds pushing heavy smoke into the Lake Basin. Please take precautions to limit outdoor exposure and protect yourself and your family from the smoke.

Operations Updates

Healthcare Company remains open to meet the health needs of our community and employees are expected to report to work in all departments as scheduled.

Community misinformation regarding Healthcare Co.’s operating status is being corrected and a statement released.

Plans are prepared in case an evacuation is needed, and agreements are in place with regional hospitals and facilities for potential patient transfers.

Information Systems is identifying backup plans should the fire affect our internet access.

MRI equipment within Healthcare Co. is down and being maintained due to smoke. Outpatient MRI at Alternate Medical Center remains operational.

Pharmacy is procuring additional respiratory medications for potential patient needs.

We are working diligently to mitigate smoke within the hospital and outpatient clinics. If you have an issue in your area related to smoke, please contact Incident Command (555.555.5555).

At this time Healthcare Co. is not under evacuation, however if we do receive an evacuation warning, we have an evacuation plan in place, and patients and care teams will be relocated to ensure healthcare needs are met.
